November 28, is Giving Tuesday: a global celebration dedicated to giving back in any way you can – volunteering, donating or even just shopping for a cause.
Charitable giving is at the heart of the Lush brand and comes top of mind with every decision we make, from the ingredients we source to supporting grassroots organizations across the world. What’s more, we have a variety of products that directly support charities and organizations working to protect the environment, animals and humans.
Take a look at our gifts that keep on giving and help spread a little joy to people across the world this holiday season.
Charity Pot
A rich hand and body lotion, made with a luxurious infusion of ethically-sourced ingredients that support regenerative agroecology projects around the world, including Fair Trade organic cocoa butter, organic jojoba oil, geranium oil, fair trade shea butter and fresh aloe gel.
Charitable by name and by nature, each delectable drop does a world of good – 100 per cent of the sales price goes directly towards supporting human rights, animal protection and environmental conservation causes.
In the last decade, Lush North America has donated almost $22m to over 1,500 grassroots organizations in more than 42 countries worldwide.
Charity Pot is available at www.lush.ca. via all North American shops and comes in two sizes: 50g at $7.95 and 240g at $27.95
Charity Pot can also be found in our pre-wrapped gifts. With every purchase of the following, we'll invest $7.95 towards our global Charity Pot fund: Winter Garden, You’re a Star, All the Best and Lush Life
And if you’re feeling really generous, why not send some love to our Charity Pot partners across the globe by:
Supporting a new league of female leaders with She Should Run
Putting a roof over vulnerable families’ heads with International Rescue Committee
Safeguarding the future of rescued animals with Quebec Fauna Foundation
Protecting biodiversity in more than 2m acres of wildlife habitat with Rocky Mountain Wild
Or supporting Amazonian communities by buying beautiful handcrafted jewellery and pottery from the Hakhu Amazonian Indigenous Women’s Association
Snow Fairy Fun
Every year, Snow Fairy comes back to grace us with her delicious bubblegum and vanilla perfume. This year she’s been resurrected in more forms than ever: as a jelly bomb, naked and liquid shower gels and body conditioners, soap, sparkle jar and in this little pack of Fun.
2.5 per cent from the sale of every bar of Fun goes into the FunD, a Lush initiative which supports charities that create safe places for children to play after the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan.
Moldable, for making into fairies, squishing between fingers or just splashing about with in the tub, this is a pink playtime essential for all kids (big and little).
To use as soap or shampoo, take a small bit in your hand, hop in the tub and lather up. If you fancy a bubble bath, crumble a small piece under a running tap for mountains of suds.
Snow Fairy is available online at www.lush.ca and via all North American shops at $8.95 for 200g.
Ro’s Argan Gourmet Soap
Ro’s Argan gourmet soap is made with ultra silkening Argan oil sourced from Berber women’s village co-operatives in Morocco, which bring 22 villages together to ensure each community has a reliable source of income. What's more, each cooperative is provided with ongoing training and assessments to help them reach ECOCERT organic and Fair Trade status - ranking them as artisan producers and ensuring they receive a fair price for their oil from all buyers.
We work with small producers through our dedicated Sustainable Lush (sLush) Fund, whereby 2 per cent of the amount Lush spends on raw materials and packaging is invested in supporting sustainable farming and community projects around the world.
Over $3.3m has been spent on regenerative agriculture and community projects in over 21 countries worldwide, since sLush North America was launched in 2012.
Ro’s Argan is available online at www.lush.ca and via all Lush North America shops at $15.95 per 100g.
