We are looking to cast a romantic comedy centred around two men reconnecting after an ill-fated high school kiss five years earlier. It’s a small character study that aims to provide a showcase for LGBTQ+ stories and the people that bring those stories to life.
Our goal is to provide an inclusive and collaborative space throughout all aspects of the production. Every role is primarily open to LGBTQ+ and gender non-confirming identified people as well as actors of any ethnicity.
ROLES:
ERIK (lead): 20-25 - Slightly bookish/nerdy. Living in the city as an openly gay man. Very orderly and somewhat closed off initially but opens up as the story progresses.
NOAH (lead): 20-25 - On the surface, he is very much the quintessential high school bad boy. Spent high school in the closet and he is now openly gay. He is a folk musician.
EMILY: 20-30 - Erik’s best friend. She is bubbly and vibrant without being a caricature. Quirky with a bit of an edge.
JAMIE: 20-30 - Noah’s co-worker at the bar. She is slight smitten with Noah.
PENNY: 35-45 - Bar Owner/ Noah’s boss and confidante. She is a slightly maternal figure. She is strong and sexy.
