Nestled in the Mission District in South West Calgary lies the Westways Bed and Breakfast, a luxurious three-tier house furnished with antiques to give a delightful old-fashioned ambience.
The Westways prides themselves on being a Gay-owned and operated establishment. Jonathon Lloyd, an award-winning chef, proudly hosts the Bed and Breakfast with his partner Graham McKay and their two dogs Bobo and Ben.
The house can accommodate up to eight people at a time. Guests can choose among five different rooms, each of which come with an ensuite bathroom and shower, TV and VCR with over 100 digital cable channels, selection of movie cassettes, home entertainment centre with CD and Cassette player, and a telephone with free local calling and free connection to broadband internet for your Notebook! On hot summer days, you can retreat into the cool air-conditioned interior, or snuggle up near the cozy fireplace in the cold of winter.
Other than these commonalities, each room has a unique décor and special perks. This way guests can choose a room that suits them best for luxury, style, and budget.
The Scollen Room:
Style: Romantic honeymoon suite with a King-size bed. Marble fireplace and candles.
Perks: Jetted Soaker Tub, Balcony.
The Mission Room:

Room prices vary depending on the season, but still remain highly affordable all year round. Each one is named after streets in the mission district, which in turn were named after prominent figures from the Catholic Church in Calgary during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
Aside from the suites, the house contains several equally classy common areas. The enclosed heated porch acts as a greenhouse of sorts, housing many indoor plants – it is an ideal place to read, relax, and chat with the other guests. In addition, the outside deck has a 32-jet hot tub with privacy screens – clothing optional exclusively for gay and lesbian clientele!
Complimentary breakfasts are cooked personally chef Jonathon Lloyd, and served on fine bone china and crystal ware around the elegant Mahogany dining table. Furthermore beverages, toiletries, and even services such as wake-up calls are also complimentary!
In summary, the Westways boasts friendly hospitality and great food in a culturally rich setting. Visit their website at www.gaywestways.com for room prices, photographs, and other information.
