SwizzleSticks SalonSpa, Kensington’s landmark hair salon and spa, is thrilled to announce their partnership with the Dresscode Project. The movement supports the LGTBQ+ community and creates safe spaces in salons for those under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. The goal of the project is to allow anyone and everyone to feel comfortable and confident going to a salon for their desired hair treatment.

Started in 2017, the Dresscode Project creates a searchable database, where users can put in the postal code of their area and be directed to a safe space salon. SwizzleSticks SalonSpa will be the first member of the movement in the Calgary area.

"We are so excited to be a part of this movement," CEO of SwizzleSticks SalonSpa Brianna Hallet says, "everyone should have the right to feel at home in the salon and we want to be on the forefront of that inclusion. The best part about this initiative is that Dresscode offers gender free workshops which will educate our Team with the proper language and tools to ensure a restorative and refreshed experience for all!

The Dresscode Project gives clientele an opportunity to be their true selves, no questions asked. This movement is important to the SwizzleSticks team for many reasons, but most importantly they want anyone and everyone to feel welcomed and celebrated for being themselves when they walk through the doors of #theNewSwizz.
